It’s time to slip into some cosy coats and warm up with a frothy drink or two – yes it’s officially spiced latte season! Don’t forget your coffee toppers.
If you’re looking for some scrumptious suggestions of what drinks to make to match your coffee toppers this Autumn then you’re in luck.
Here are some of our favourites…
Pumpkin Spiced Latte
Can you even talk about spiced latte season without discussing the drink that started off the whole hype?!
Those warming notes of pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg set our tastebuds tingling every time.
Originally created by Starbucks, the drink was rolled out to all of their stores in 2004 and has grown in popularity every year. Now our local independents have been creating their own yummy spin on the popular drink, and we’re not complaining!
You’ll be spoilt for choice on where to pick up your pumpkin spiced latte!
Peppermint Mocha
We love the calming qualities of peppermint and the hearty taste of mocha. Put them together and what do you get?
A little taste of heaven.
As the days draw in and the temperature drops, you need something indulgent to warm you back up –and a peppermint mocha does the job perfectly.
This recipe is a winner for us. If you’re not as crazy about a minty taste, just have a play around with some different flavoured syrups instead!
Salted Caramel Latte
When we fancy a change from the pumpkin classic, we like to mix up our latte routine with salted caramel.
For us, caramel is synonymous with autumn. Don’t get us wrong, we could definitely fill our boots with the sugary taste all year round, but it hits different this time of year.
Its golden, indulgent texture, elevates any coffee induced drink. Add a little salted element to offset the sweet and you’ll reach hot drink paradise.
Caramel hazelnut hot chocolate
Need we say more?
Caramel, hazelnut and chocolate – we can already feel our sweet tooth twitching.
Hot chocolates were designed to warm us up in the chillier months, and this is perhaps one of the most comforting drinks to hit our lips.
And whilst a hot chocolate might not produce much froff, an extra swirl of some whipped cream is a must.
Go on, treat yourself!
Biscoff Latte
Are you a little bit Biscoff crazy too?
We certainly are, we’d happily add it to anything sweet!
But have you tried a Biscoff latte yet?
If not – you’re welcome in advance.
Coffee and biscuits are the ultimate match made in heaven – so combine them into one drink and you’ve got a winner.
This is the recipe that we are hooked on at the moment…
Oh, and of course you’ll need to put a complementary Biscoff biscuit on the side – after all it would be rude not to.
Which will be your autumnal frothy fave?
There’s only one way to find out – by trying them all of course! Find even more coffee-related ideas here.
Channel your inner barista and get creative in the kitchen, the time and effort will definitely pay off.
